  • Access resources and programming that support your professional and philanthropic goals today.

  • Meet Jefas who can introduce you to opportunities and help you prepare for leadership roles in your future chapter.

How transferring works

  • When your desired chapter launches, you’ll be able to request a transfer through membership services.

  • Transfers are handled smoothly: your membership status, dues history, and participation record move with you.

  • If you’ve held committee roles or contributed to chapter initiatives, those experiences will be recognized in the new chapter.

Tips for a seamless transition

  • Stay active in your current chapter: attend events, join committees, and build relationships.

  • Let membership services know early if you anticipate transferring so they can flag your account for an easy move.

  • Connect with the leaders or founding group of your future chapter—volunteer to help launch events or outreach so you’re already a known face when it opens.

If you’d like assistance choosing a nearby chapter to join or have questions about the transfer process, contact membership services and we’ll guide you through the next steps. Join now, grow with us, and move when the right chapter launches.

FAQs

What chapters are forming?

1

We’re forming chapters for Katy, Houston, Magnolia, Kingwood, and Sugar Land.

There are no tentative dates for launch. The Jefa Society will begin chapters as soon as member rosters have been finalized and locked in. Meeting days and times are set by The Jefa Society and are typically scheduled weekdays during breakfast or lunch hours to accommodate members’ daytime availability. The only exception is the Zoom chapter, which will meet on a Wednesday evening.

How is a roster filled?

2

Each new chapter requires ten paid members , a full roster to launch. If you’re not ready to start a chapter immediately, you can join an existing chapter now and transfer to a new chapter later when it forms.

What If I am in a chapter and want to transfer to a new one?

3

Each member may transfer their membership one time — either once during their membership lifetime or once per calendar year — for a $300 transfer fee.

The transfer fee does not apply to members who join an existing chapter while they are on a waiting list for another chapter, provided they meet the following condition:

  • The member must join the new chapter immediately at its launch. “Immediately” is defined as attending the chapter’s first official meeting. If the member joins at that first meeting, no transfer fee will be charged.

If the member does not attend the first meeting and joins the chapter later, the standard transfer fee will apply.

What if I apply and join an existing chapter, but someone else also applies in my industry?

4

We allow up to two members per industry in each chapter. Membership is awarded to the first applicant from that industry whose application is approved. Established members do not have an automatic right of first refusal to a newly available seat; retaining or reclaiming a seat requires submitting a new application and payment of the current membership fee. If a seat is not taken immediately when it becomes available for any reason, the seat is forfeited and any fees paid are nonrefundable.

Join A Waitlist

Behind everything we do is a team of people who truly care. We bring our full support to the table—open-minded, collaborative, and ready to make something great.

The waitlist does not guarantee membership in any chapter. Only an approved, paid application secures membership.

Visitors may attend one chapter meeting one time for free. This single visit is available to anyone and does not require membership or payment. Continued attendance or participation beyond that one visit requires submitting an application and paying the membership fee once the application is approved.
